7340 Series Low Exotherm Polyesters

Type:

An orthophthalate laminating resin made with a unique composite blend of monomers resulting in a low exotherm product without sacrificing god cure.

Advantages:

Ÿ Low shrinkage and low exotherm
Ÿ Will reduce pattern show through
Ÿ A resin with excelent wet out

Characteristics of Cured Clear Castings:

Flexural Strength                  12,000 - 15,000 PSI
Heat Distortion Temp.          190°F ASTM D-648 (264 PSI)

Curing System

Catalyst                           MEK Peroxide
Promoter                         Some of these resins are cobalt
                                       promoted and require only catalyst.
                                       Others are not promoted and
                                       require both cobalt and catalyst.

Flexural Strength - 1/8" cured laminate with 1½ ounce mat - 28,000 PSI peak exotherm run on 30 grams resin in a 1 fluid ounce cup.
